Zakk Wylde is getting back on the Crazy Train this summer. The guitarist has rejoined Ozzy Osbourne’s band for their first tour together in more than a decade.

Wylde has worked with Osbourne since the 1988 album No Rest For The Wicked and has played on three more albums — Ozzmosis in 1995, Down To Earth in 2001 and Black Rain in 2007, as well as live recordings and videos. Wylde has not toured as part of Osbourne’s band since 2006, however.

In a statement, Osbourne says that: “I’m so happy to be getting back on the road with Zakk, (bassist) Blasko, Tommy (Clufetos, drummer) and Adam (Wakeman, keyboards). This is what I do. This is where I belong, on the road.”

Osbourne is hitting the road again after spending a year out with Black Sabbath on its The End farewell tour; he’s also working on a new solo album, which is expected next year. Wylde, meanwhile, has worked with his band Black Label Society and released solo albums, as well as being part of last year’s Generation Axe tour and the annual Experience Hendrix tours.

As of now, there are only four Osbourne dates announced, starting July 14 at the Rock USA festival in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, but more are expected to come soon.
