Tom Petty is reportedly in serious and life-threatening condition after suffering a full cardiac arrest. TMZ reports that EMTs were called to Petty’s home in Malibu, Calif., where he was found unconscious and not breathing, though they were able to get a pulse.
Petty, 66, was taken to UCLA Santa Monica Hospital, where the latest update indicates he had no brain activity and all life support machines were pulled. No one in the Petty camp is talking about the situation.
He and his band the Heartbreakers recently finished their 40th anniversary tour on September 21 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. More news as it surfaces.
