The late Randy Rhoads and Manowar’s Ross “The Boss” Friedman will be part of the inaugural inductees into the Hall of Heavy Metal History when the new institution opens its doors with its first ceremony on Wednesday night (Jan. 18) in Anaheim, Calif.
The event, which takes place as part of the National Association Of Music Merchandisers (NAMM) conference, will also honor Ronnie James Dio, Lemmy Kilmister, Scorpions, bassist Rudy Sarzo and drummers Vinnie Appice and Frankie Banali (Quiet Riot), as well as Andy Zildjian, president and CEO of the Sabian Cymbals company, and the famed Rainbow Bar & Grill.
Friedman will perform, along with Dio Disciples, Budderside and Diamond Lane. More information is available at www.thehallofheavymetalhistory.org.
