Brad Paisley and John Fogerty spent the weekend going toe-to-toe, on video and in the flesh.

First came the video for the title track from Paisley’s new album, Love And War, on which Fogerty guests. The two filmed it on the USS Midway aircraft carrier in San Diego, and at the Unconditional Surrender statue nearby; they met military veterans throughout the video shoot, and the Midway posted a message on its Facebook page saying: “Thank you for choosing us, the USS Midway, as the location for this video and the important message it tells. Wonderful working with you and John Fogerty! Our doors onboard the Midway are always open to you!”

Paisley — who guested on Fogerty’s 2013 album Wrote A Song For Everyone — and Fogerty further celebrated on Sunday night (April 21) with a surprise performance at Tootsie’s in Nashville, joined by “Whispering” Bill Anderson and Timbaland.

Paisley’s Love And War album came out Friday (April 21) and also features collaborations with Anderson, Timbaland and Mick Jagger.
