We all know Jack White plays a mean guitar; now he’s showing he can write a nice children’s book, too.

White has turned the White Stripes’ 2001 song “We’re Going To Be Friends” into an illustrated book on his Third Man Books press, illustrated by Pee Wee’s Playhouse and The Ren and Stimpy Show animator Elinor Blake, who also records music under the name April March.

The book will be published Nov. 7 and tells the story of a girl named Suzy Lee, “as she goes to school with her books and pens, looks for bugs, shows and tells, and finds a friend.”

It will come with downloads of both the White Stripes’ original recording as well as a new version by April March with the Woodstation Elementary School Singers.

It’s currently available for pre-order at the Third Man web site. The White co-produced American Epic music history series is currently airing on PBS.
