Fleetwood Mac By Any Other Name…
Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie join forces for new duo album

Lindsey Buckingham and the rest of Fleetwood Mac are taking a different direction on the next group album — of a sort.
Apparently tired of waiting for Stevie Nicks to join the fold in the studio, a new album credited to “Buckingham McVie,” featuring songs written for Fleetwood Mac by Buckingham and Christine McVie, is due out this year.
The group began recording the material during 2014 in Los Angeles, after McVie returned to the band following a 16-year absence. Nicks, who’s been focusing on her own recording and touring, has not been part of the sessions, though Fleetwood Mac did tour that year. The rhythm section of Mick Fleetwood and John McVie plays on the songs as well. There’s no word yet on a release date or track list.
There’s been talk of a Fleetwood Mac tour later this year, though it’s not known how this new development might affect things. Nicks has more dates booked on her 24 Karat Gold Tour into the spring.
