Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has received some good news; he’s still cancer free.
Iommi, who successfully battled lymphoma after being diagnosed during early 2012, has revealed that a lump recently found in his throat near the back of his sinuses is benign. The guitarist first spoke about the lump in December and found out it’s not cancerous on Christmas Day. He quipped to Planet Rock that “I’ll probably fall down the stairs now…”
Iommi and Sabbath are gearing up for the final dates of the group’s The End farewell tour, starting January 17 in Cologne, Germany and finishing with shows on February 2 and 4 in Sabbath’s home town of Birmingham, England.
